It is by no means a very expensive lens, at around $100.00, and is actually the base 50mm lens that Canon makes (the next one jumps to $350, then again to $1,400, gosh photography is expensive). I haven't purchased one yet, but as soon as I can justify spending $100.00 on something, I hope to. No impulse buy here...I hope.
oh my gosh you will LOVE it! it was my first purchase after the camera body and it made a HUGE difference
